I mentioned the other day that I was VERY concerned about making my hair appointment due to our delay.

I MAY have mentioned it to my shipmates. It spread like wild fire and the guys keep coming up to me and asking about my upcoming hair cut. Kinda funny.

Im on the bridge. We're outbound from Los Angeles. The Captain is asking me about out distance to go and I'm in the back working out our ETA....

Capt: Use an average speed of 19.5 knots

Me: Understood. 19.5 knots. (Pause while I do some calculations...)

Me: Looks like 0500 not including the slow down.

Capt (speaking to the rest of the bridge team - ie Chief Mate, Helmsman and the Third Mate who's working on his log entries): Well Gentlemen, it looks like the Second Mate is going to make her 1130 hair appointment. I'd call this a good day...
